How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I worked in the executive world for several yrs. in sales. I wasn't satisfied with my job and resigned. I went back to school where I had a yr. left for my bachelor's in business and graduated. I found myself looking for a job for a couple of yrs. like most my age. I love to bake and cook. So my daughter put the thought in my mind about opening a dog bakery. So I took a look at the market and demand for a dog bakery. So I had started at the farmers market, AKC shows, and local dog events for a yrs. We were growing quickly! So it was time to get a store front so I had to get all my licenses in placed that was required by North Carolina and we found a small 600 square foot building to start with to test the water. So we invested some of our savings to start the business up and we grew slowly, but consistently. We Had expanded to 1,000 sq. feet in December 2017, in the same Mini mall area. Keep checking in on our Facebook for our grand opening.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
The most important thing to me is that every customer I have is treated well and has a great experience every time they shop with us. They will not have to search for someone to help them. I do special requests for special occasions. I carry all gluten and grain free dog foods and marketed treats. Everything in my store is 4 and 5 star rated dog food. I also carry USA made products except on doggie clothes. I have special unique gifts and cards as well. I also stand behind every product I carry. So you will buy great quality products.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
I have 1 now we are currently expanding to 1000 sq. feet and will be opened January. Our goal is to open several locations. We will see.
